SINOPSIS
La película está basada en la vida de Hunter Patch Adams,
un hombre que después de ingresar en un centro psiquiátrico
por iniciativa después de un intento de suicidio, se da
cuenta del desprecio con el que algunos médicos tratan a
sus pacientes. Adams, un hombre que tiene como máxima
tomarse la vida con el mejor humor posible para hacer
reír a los demás, no decide otra cosa que estudiar medicina.
Una vez en el hospital de Viriginia en el que efectuará sus
prácticas, será allí donde empiece a aplicar sus singulares
técnicas, basadas en la risa como efecto terapéutico para
curar a sus enfermos ante las críticas de sus profesores y
colegas..
